Magnetic drums
Protected magnet system
As the magnetic drums are in constant contact with the material being conveyed and the iron to be separated, all parts in contact with the material are subject to a certain amount of wear.
In particular, the rotating drum shell made of stainless steel or high-manganese steel can eventually become so worn that the attracted iron enters the interior.
To prevent the built-in permanent magnets from being damaged immediately as a result, unlike other magnet manufacturers, we also protect them with channels made of stainless steel sheet.
Axial bearing lubrication
If no lifetime-lubricated bearings are used, the internal bearings of the magnetic drums must be relubricated regularly by the operator.
After installation, most magnetic drums are no longer easily accessible from the outside. The drums are often installed in dust-protected housings that are very difficult to dismantle.
For this reason, we place the lubrication points of our magnetic drums on the face of the fixed shaft end whenever possible. The internal bearings can be relubricated quickly and easily via channels in the shaft and internal lubrication lines.
